The Truth Hardware (AmesburyTruth) 30827 keeper is the steel keeper for Truth's 16 Series EntryGard casement sash locks. It screws to the sash, and when the lock handle is turned the lock's revolving cam reaches out, catches the keeper, and pulls the sash in tight against the weatherstripping. Truth rates the EntryGard at .625" (15.8 mm) of pull-in and up to 200 lbs of force per lock when properly mounted, and made this keeper larger than the one on the older 16.16 lock for better stability and strength. Often called a lock keeper, sash keeper, or strike.

The same 30827 keeper fits every EntryGard sash lock, handed or non-handed: the 16.27, 16.28, 16.30, 16.31, 16.38 and 16.44. Truth also makes it in stainless steel as the 30899.
