The Truth Hardware (AmesburyTruth) 41269 keeper is the right-hand keeper for the Truth 16.52 HomeGard casement sash lock, and for the 16.53 secondary lock used in tie bar setups. It screws to the sash, and when the lock is turned its sliding latch reaches out, catches the keeper, and pulls the sash in tight against the weatherstripping. Truth rates the HomeGard at .625" (15.8 mm) of pull-in and, when properly installed, at least 275 lbs of negative air pressure per lock. The keeper is E-Gard coated steel, and one of its two mounting holes is slotted so its position can be fine-tuned. Often called a lock keeper, sash keeper, or strike.

The HomeGard lock itself is non-handed, but its keeper comes in two mirror-image hands: this is the right-hand 41269, and the opposite-hand version is the 41268. Check the hand against your old keeper; Truth's drawing (Fig. 2) shows the opposite hand.
