The LEO Hardware patio door track cap is a stainless steel snap-over cap that repairs a worn, crushed, or mushroomed patio door sill rail — it caps the damaged track and gives the rollers a straight, hard-wearing surface to ride, with no sill or frame replacement. Manufactured in Canada. Run a tape along the sill track before ordering: the cap is sold in 6 ft and 8 ft lengths and cuts down to your exact length on site. Often called a patio door track cover, sliding door track cover, rail cap, or track repair cap.
The cap goes on as the last step of a track repair: grind the damaged rail back to a uniform profile, fill the low spots with quick-setting epoxy, run a thin bead of silicone inside the cap channel, and tap the cap onto the rail with a rubber mallet.
