Truth 15.16 left-hand EntryGard dual arm casement window operator with 3-13/16" link arm.

The Truth Hardware (AmesburyTruth) 15.16 EntryGard is a left-hand dual arm casement window operator with a 3-13/16" (96.8 mm) short link arm. Its patented dual arm action pushes the sash open while pulling the hinge side toward the open position, giving smooth, low-torque cranking through the full 90° of opening. The base is high-pressure die-cast zinc with a hardened steel drive worm and gears, protected by Truth's E-Gard multi-stage coating for corrosion resistance. Used with Truth 14 Series casement hinges, it suits sashes 20"–32" (508–813 mm) wide, up to 60" (1524 mm) high, and up to 60 lbs (27 kg). Often called a window crank, opener, winder, or mechanism.

Handing is determined by the hinge side when viewed from the outside. Commonly (but not always) stamped "20755" on the arm; may also be marked 20544, 30470, 30472, 30841, 30842, 31538, or 31539.

When replacing your Amesbury Truth EntryGard window crank, check the link-offset. This small, bent arm connects to another arm and determines whether your operator is an 'uplink' or 'downlink.' If the offset transitions downward, it's a downlink; if it goes upward, it's an uplink. This is important because uplink and downlink operators are not interchangeable.
