The Truth Hardware (AmesburyTruth) SafeGard 2R is the residential field-kit version of the SafeGard 2 window opening control device (WOCD) for casement (side-hinged) windows. It limits the window opening to less than 4" (102 mm) to help prevent accidental falls, then releases for full egress with two simple actions — push the red button and slide it up — with no keys, tools, or special knowledge, and re-latches automatically when the window is closed and locked. The self-locating sash device fits the standard 7/16" (11 mm) hinge cavity and is built for accurate retrofit on existing residential casement windows. The device is handed to match the window. Often called a window opening control device, WOCD, window limit device, or window restrictor.
